Well, here we are, sitting at the Wichita airport getting ready to fly to Africa. Well, actually we have a quick stop in London then on to Entebbe, Uganda. Lots of emotions today at our house. Awfully hard to leave our kids but so excited to see World Vision's work in Uganda, meet the people there and have our hearts broken for others and their needs. I know we are so priviliged with the things we have and the life we lead. We've been to a couple of third world countries and have seen the needs there and been determined that we'd never forget and that it would always effect us. But honestly, we get caught back up in our super blessed American rat race and we have the tendency to forget. I'm ready for my perspective to change and my priorities to shift. My prayer for this trip is that God would not only use us to minister to and share the love of Christ with the wonderful people we'll meet in Uganda, but that He'll use them to help us refocus and remember the really important things in life.
