On the road again...well, we're on our way home! Pretty excited to get home to hot, muggy Kansas. We have some pets that are going to be thrilled to see us :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Washington, DC. The kids loved the museums and monuments. It was a really quick tour but we hit some highlights. After DC, we headed up to Massachusetts and had great concerts on Sunday. Met a lot of wonderful people. Monday was a really special day, especially for Shasmita. When Shas came home from India, we traveled with another couple adopting a little girl from the same orphanage. They live in Connecticut and we were able to meet up on Monday at the beach in Rhode Island. The girls were so cute playing together and it was just a wonderful time for Shas to reconnect with a friend from India and we really enjoyed catching up with the family that shared our amazing adoption journey.
We celebrated Shasmita's birthday yesterday. It's the first birthday we've had with her. Well, I say celebrated, there was only so much we could do in the car but we'll party at home :)
Oh, before I forget, we got the call yesterday that the 700 Club will be airing our story on July 6. Just a few weeks away. It's almost a year after we recorded it but we're excited to finally see it. I hope you can catch it. You can go to www.cbn.com and find out when the 700 Club airs in your area.
Work is going well on the new website. I'll be sure to update when that's coming as well.
